The original collage painting on paper was created by gluing torn and cut pieces of magazines, calendars, and catalogs on paper. I start by drawing the picture on paper and begin searching for just the right colors for each image. It takes quite some time usually. These pictures of Pink Roses are from reference photos of roses collaged together. There are four pink rose collages to choose from. Each one is a group of roses from a different point of view and slightly different background. Let me know the number and I will send the right one. The photos are in order of numbers; 1, 2, 3, and 4.
I love creating collage because it is difficult and distinctive. Also, I feel very good about repurposing things normally thrown away, destined to take up space in some landfill. This was a fun painting to create and to make the colors pop. I would love to see it find a nice home.
The paper is 11” x 17”, large enough to offset a large room, put over the fireplace or couch, or even decorate a kitchen.
This painting is being sold unframed for ease of shipping.

Notes on Framing: All paintings on paper should be framed behind glass or Plexiglas and with a matte, preferable a light-colored one. The matte is necessary as it keeps the paper from touching the glass. Anywhere a paper touches glass over the course of time will yellow and brown with age. This would, of course, alter the look of the finished piece.
