A love of children and children's art.

Denise McGill was extensively self-taught, studying the master’s techniques through the library resources. She taught drawing and watercolor to children and adults for 20 years before finally getting her BFA in Illustration from American InterContinental University and recently received her Master’s Degree in Illustration from Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She has just finished illustrating 4 children’s books for Aero Publishing and is working on a “Fairy Tales Alphabet Book” project. She works in many media, including ink, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, oil, collage and printmaking. She has won many art awards including most recently, her SWA signature membership. She likes to tell people she is bilingual, art being her first and primary language. Check out her Patreon page to support her work.
She loves children and art for and with children. This motivates her to create the cute and clever fairy composite photos.
