The original collage painting on paper was created by gluing torn and cut pieces of magazines, calendars, and catalogs on paper. I start by drawing the picture on paper and begin searching for just the right colors for each image. It takes quite some time usually. These pictures of Roosters are from a reference photo of a rooster. There are four rooster collages to choose from. Each one is a rooster from a different point of view and a slightly different background. Let me know the number and I will send the right one. The photos are in order of numbers, 1, 2, 3, and 4.
I love creating collage because it is difficult and distinctive. Also, I feel very good about repurposing things normally thrown away, destined to take up space in some landfill. This was a fun painting to create and to make the colors pop. I would love to see it find a nice home.
The paper is 11” x 17”, large enough to offset a large room, put over the fireplace or couch, or even decorate a kitchen.
This painting is being sold unframed for ease of shipping.

Notes on Framing: All paintings on paper should be framed behind glass or Plexiglas and with a matte, preferable a light-colored one. The matte is necessary as it keeps the paper from touching the glass. Anywhere a paper touches glass over the course of time will be yellowed and brown with age. This would, of course, alter the look of the finished piece.
